Yellowstone

Artistic approach

The Yellowstone series is inspired by the American National Park of the same name. It is a poetic exploration of the confines of our visual perceptions, "because the beautiful is only the beginning of the terrible that we hardly bear", in the words of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. The work on light and color opens the door to the telluric world and its beauty imbued with mystery. The visitor offers immense landscapes in which are nestled hot springs with changing mosaics. A low rumble emanates from the depths of a burnt umber mixed with azurite fingers and opalescent pools. Purple and copper splashes gush out of these aquatic labyrinths above which the mist engulfs all forms of nature.
